The Diabetes Canada/CSEM Scientific Planning Committee invite abstract submissions for consideration. If your abstract is accepted, you are expected to attend in-person and cover the expenses associated with presenting your abstract at the professional conference, including registration, travel, and accommodation.
When choosing which stream to submit your abstract to, please consider the topic of your abstract:

Clinical Care & Education Stream Health-Care Delivery: innovative methods or approaches for improving health-care of patients with diabetes conditions Education: new or improved approaches and techniques for teaching and learning on diabetes topics Science Stream Basic Research: basic physiological or molecular biological research (e.g. using cell cultures or animal models) on diabetes topics Clinical Research: diabetes research focused on specific disease states (e.g. evaluation of diagnostic techniques or therapies) Indigenous Science and Content Stream Clinical or scientific research with an Indigenous focus on Diabetes related topics; Indigenous knowledge/lived experience |
CSEM General Stream Basic Research: basic physiological or molecular biological research (e.g. using cell cultures or animal models) on endocrine and metabolic topics Clinical Research: research focused on specific endocrine and metabolic disease states (e.g. evaluation of diagnostic techniques or therapies) Quality Improvement Research*: systematic analysis of practice and performance improvements related to endocrine and metabolism care and management CSEM Resident Stream Clinical Vignette: an interesting case for oral or poster presentation (for clinical trainees) Research Project: an overview of an in-progress basic science or translational research project for poster presentation (for research trainees, including PhD candidates) |
