Dr. Alanna Weisman is an Endocrinologist and Clinician Scientist at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Canada, and an Assistant Professor in the Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism, Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Weisman conducts health services research in diabetes. Key focuses of her research program are Evaluating glycemic outcomes and determinants of glycemic outcomes; and Improving diabetes outcomes through use of technologies, with a focus on improving equitable access to advanced diabetes technologies.
Dr. Weisman is the recipient of the Banting & Best Diabetes Center New Investigator Award, the Breakthrough T1D Canada Emerging Clinician Researcher Award, and an Early Researcher Award from Ontario Health. Shas received funding for her research from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Diabetes Canada, Breakthrough T1D Canada, and other organizations.
