Brian is a practicing family doctor in Hamilton where he currently serves as Lead Physician at the Hamilton Family Health Team, Ontario's largest family health team comprising of more than 160 family practices serving nearly 300,000 patients. In addition, Brian currently holds the role of Regional Primary Care Clinical Lead with Ontario Health West and since January of this year has been interim Provincial Primary Care Clinical Lead at Ontario Health. Brian's major interests lie in the areas of knowledge translation in primary care as well as primary health care systems and policy. Brian holds a Masters in Translational Health Sciences from the University of Oxford and is an Assistant Clinical Professor within the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University.
