Dr. Ilana Halperin is an adult endocrinologist and Cheif Medical Information Officer at Sunnybrook Health Sciences in Toronto and an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. She has a large practice of T1D with a special focus on young adults and pregnant woman. Ilana is strong believer that the person living with T1D is the expert in their own condition and that her job to support them with tips and tricks to live a long, healthy life. She is a strong advocate for the use of advanced technologies and has been invited to speak national and internationally on the application of advanced technologies. She lead a Diabetes Canada position paper on Do-It-Yourself Automated Insulin Delivery and is co-leading the updated Glycemic Management in T1D across the lifespan guideline.
