Cydney is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Ryerson University. After completing her dietetic internship at Sunnybrook in 2019, she joined the team and began working in high-risk obstetrics and the Diabetes in Pregnancy Clinic where she developed a strong passion for diabetes care and became a Certified Diabetes Educator. She has since been a key figure in advancing diabetes technology at Sunnybrook. In 2023, she helped launch the hospital’s Pump Program and currently serves as its lead, educating and preparing patients to initiate pump therapy and optimize their automated insulin delivery systems.
In addition to her hospital work, Cydney runs a private practice where she specializes in other endocrine disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) as well as diabetes care and prevention. She works with clients to make realistic and sustainable dietary and lifestyle changes that support long-term health and well-being.
