Dr. Fourman is an endocrinologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She completed her medical training at Weill Cornell Medical College and subsequently completed her residency and fellowship at MGH. She is now a faculty member within the MGH Metabolism Unit where she has developed a robust clinical research program geared toward elucidating mechanisms and treatment strategies for metabolic disease. Her research portfolio includes studies focused on the pathophysiology and treatment of lipodystrophy and its complications. Clinically, Dr. Fourman is Associate Director of MGH Lipid and Metabolism Associates, in which she cares for patients with a variety of metabolic disorders including lipodystrophy. She also directs the MGH Metabolic Disorders Conference, which seeks to meld clinical experience with scientific literature to develop best practices for various lipid and metabolic disorders.
