Elizabeth (Liz) Rosolowsky, MD, MPH, FRCPCP is a Pediatric Endocrinologist and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta. She received her Medical Degree from the University of California, San Francisco, where she also completed her Pediatric internship and residency. Afterwards, she pursued additional training in Pediatric Endocrinonology at Boston Children's Hospital with a focused interest in pediatric type 1 diabetes mellitus at the Joslin Diabetes Centre. She is currently the local Principal Investigator for the TrialNet Study at the University of Alberta and is also a member of the CanScreen T1D Research Consortium. She is co-investigator in projects 5 (Establishment of a Canadian Clinical Autoantibody Laboratory) and project 6 (Creation of a Canadian T1D Genetic Data Repository to Validate a Trans-Ethnic Genetic Risk Score). She looks forward every week to Thursdays, when she attends her pediatric diabetes clinics and visits with the kids, who remind her of why this work is so important.
