Dr. Megan Racey is a Research Coordinator in the School of Nursing at McMaster University. She is a dedicated research professional with a passion for advancing human health through the effective communication and application of high-quality evidence. With a strong interdisciplinary background spanning healthcare, public health, and the agri-food sectors, she specializes in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. Her work bridges the gap between academia and the public, ensuring that research findings are translated into meaningful, real-world impact. Her expertise in research methods supports timely, evidence-based reviews for the prevention and treatment of conditions such as frailty, obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease across the lifespan. Dr. Racey is also committed to knowledge mobilization, co-designing and implementing community-based research studies that reflect the needs of the populations they serve. Her research has been support by the Canadian Institutes for Health Research, Canadian Frailty Network, and Diabetes Canada. She has published over 35 peer-reviewed articles. Over the last decade, Dr. Racey's work has helped make research accessible and actionable for a wide range audiences.
