Dr. William Reisman is currently an assistant professor in the department of medicine at Western University. He is a member of the division of respirology and has completed a fellowship in sleep medicine. His clinical practice focuses on sleep disordered breathing with interests in the use of non-invasive ventilation in patients with hypoventilation syndromes. Through his work with the Home Respiratory and Ventilation Care service (HRVC) he has ongoing experience in the respiratory management of patients with neuromuscular disease including ALS and muscular dystrophy.
Dr. Reisman’s academic interests include clinical bioethics and he has recently completed a master’s degree in this area at the University of Toronto. Topics of interest include the use of non-invasive ventilatory support in end of life care, and ethical issues related to the use in artificial intelligence in medical practice.
